Darkest Dungeon II’s latest boss is full of Resentment

It’s time to return to The Mountain with Darkest Dungeon II’s latest update: the Shroud of the Deep, a massive addition of content that brings with it a soaked and bloated new region, an overhaul to food, stronger enemies, and faster travel, and–most significantly–the arrival of the Act II final boss.

In the parlance of Darkest Dungeon II, the game’s compelling narrative is broken down into five Confessions, each bringing with it an overarching theme and a final boss. The first Confession, or act, was Denial. The second, hitting with this new milestone update, is Resentment.

After players have destroyed the Shackles of Denial by playing through and defeating that first act boss, they’re given the option to now select the Resentment Confession on a new run.
