The nominees for this year’s Game Awards were revealed by showrunner Geoff Keighley on Monday with God of War Ragnarok leading 2022’s nominees. Ragnarok seized 10 nominations in a list that includes 108 games, individuals, teams, and events spread across 31 categories.

This year’s Game of the Year nominees are: A Plague Tale: Requiem (Asobo Studio/Focus Entertainment), Elden Ring (FromSoftware/Bandai Namco), God of War Ragnarök (Sony Santa Monica/SIE), Horizon Forbidden West (Guerrilla Games/SIE), Stray (BlueTwelve Studio/Annapurna Interactive) and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (Monolith Soft/Nintendo).

Sony Interactive Entertainment is the most nominated publisher with 20 nominations across its combined portfolio of games, followed by Annapurna Interactive and Nintendo with 11.

The nominees are selected by a jury of more than 100 media outlets from around the world. Specialized juries also convene for other categories including esports, accessibility and best adaptation. The winners are determined by a blended vote between the voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%).
